BOAT REGISTER

The NZPTOA Boat Register documents all the Paper Tiger plans that have ever been issued with a corresponding boat number, since the start of the Class. It details the boat builder, the country of origin and the sailors who have owned each boat. Not all boats were built and many are no longer, however, some of the earlier boats are still in use.

We have finally managed to finish a project to integrate the boat records held in Australia into the NZ boat register. It is by no means complete and what you see now, June 2026, is the first edition of the Combined NZ and Australian Paper Tiger boat register. For the first time, all NZ and Australian PTs are visible, including the large number of double up numbers when Australia started it's own numbering system, before becoming one again years later.

It is hoped that by using the feedback link at the top right of the register, the details on record can be updated. The accuracy of information relies heavily on input from our members and those with links to the Class. Any information is appreciated. If any details are incorrect, please make contact to update the details, or even to just update the whereabouts of a boat not seen for ages.

The update boat tab also takes you to the same quick form which will help gather the relevant information that needs updating. Any personal details will not be published but may be used to contact you if needed.

PLEASE NOTE: boat register changes are not immediate and will be manually updated intermittently. This may change in the future as we get smarter !
